Welcome to AILife ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how your data is handled when you use our mobile application (the "App").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using AILife, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Display Name: You may optionally provide a display name during onboarding. This is stored locally on your device only and is used to personalize greetings and AI-generated content.
Mood/Status: You may optionally set a mood or status in your profile. This is stored locally on your device only and is used to personalize AI-generated daily quotes.
Chat Messages: Text messages you type in the AI Chat feature are sent to third-party AI services (Google Gemini API) to generate responses. These messages are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers.
Images: When you use the camera or gallery feature to send images for AI analysis (Gemini Vision), the image data is transmitted to the AI service for processing. Images are not stored or retained by us after processing.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Approximate Location: With your permission, we collect your approximate (coarse) location to personalize AI responses and daily quotes with city-level context (e.g., weather-relevant greetings). This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers may be collected by our advertising partners (Google AdMob) for ad personalization.
Usage Data: General app usage patterns such as features used, session duration, and interaction events may be collected by analytics services.
Advertising Data: Our ad partners may collect advertising identifiers (GAID) to serve relevant advertisements.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

✅ We do not collect your email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or any other sensitive personally identifiable information (PII). Your display name, mood, and approximate location are stored exclusively on your device and are never uploaded to any server.

Third-Party Services

AILife integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

3.1 Google Gemini API

Used for AI chat responses and image analysis. Chat messages and images are sent to Google's servers for processing. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Google AdMob

We display advertisements including Banner Ads, Interstitial Ads, Rewarded Video Ads, Native Ads, and App Open Ads. AdMob may collect device information and advertising identifiers. Please refer to Google Ads Privacy Policy.

3.3 Google Play Services

Used for in-app update functionality. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

AILife is a free app supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to display the following types of advertisements:

Banner Ads: Small ads displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads shown at natural transition points (e.g., after completing a game or using a tool). These are never shown unexpectedly during active content usage.
Rewarded Video Ads: Optional video ads that users can choose to watch in exchange for in-app rewards.
Native Ads: Ads that match the look and feel of surrounding app content.
App Open Ads: Ads shown when the app is brought back to the foreground from the background.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings under Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Camera & Photo Access

AILife requests access to your device's camera and photo gallery only when you explicitly choose to attach an image to an AI chat message. This permission is used to:

Capture a photo using the device camera for AI analysis.
Select an existing image from your gallery for AI analysis.

✅ Photos are processed temporarily in-memory and sent to the AI service. They are never uploaded to our servers, stored permanently, or shared with any party other than the AI processing service.

Data Storage & Security

All user preferences, game progress, XP, badges, and chat history are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data is:

Never transmitted to external servers.
Automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.
Clearable at any time using the in-app "Clear Chat" feature.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect data during transmission to third-party APIs, including HTTPS encryption for all network requests.

Children's Privacy

AILife is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Data Retention

Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no data retention period applicable to us. Chat messages are processed in real-time by the AI service and are not persisted. Local data on your device remains until you clear it or uninstall the app.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Delete your data: Clear all local chat history and app data through the app's settings or your device's app management settings.
Opt out of personalized ads: Adjust your Google advertising preferences in your device settings.
Revoke permissions: Disable camera or storage permissions at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → AILife → Permissions.
Uninstall: Remove the app and all associated local data at any time.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
